Example Use of the Side Menu Navigation Block Pattern
To the left (on desktops) is a column containing a Side Menu Navigation Block Pattern. This block effectively replaces the side navigation currently found on providence.edu websites.
The block offers more flexibility, as you can add it higher/lower on the page where it may make more sense, while still retaining the ease of creation/curation as it integrates with the built-in WordPress menus system.
Side Menu Navigation Block Patterns should be used within a subsite. A subsite is a collection of pages that are related to each other and need to be delivered in a way that it’s easy to navigate back and forth between the pages- by using a Side Menu Navigation Block Pattern. Side Menus can be used with any number of pages, however three or more is recommended before it’s used. Use your own judgment.
