Monthly Web Editor Survey
We have three different kinds of blocks in our WordPress — we have “Core” blocks (the ones that come with WordPress, and everyone who uses WordPress has them), we have “PC Custom” blocks (made by your friends in Web Services to meet the unique needs of Providence College web editors), and “Vendor” blocks, which are provided to us by third party developers, usually to do very specific tasks.
Two of our most prominent vendor blocks are Envira Gallery and TablePress. While Web Services doesn’t have the ability to change these blocks, we do support there use, and can help you use them to their best effect!
For both these blocks, you build the item (the gallery, or the table) in the Plugin’s builder page, and then you bring the built item into your WordPress page.
The Vendor Blocks:
TablePress
TablePress allows you to drag and click to build accessible, robust tables.

Then in your web page, you add the TablePress block, and choose the table you want to include on your page from the drop-down menu. In the screenshot below, you’ll see there’s one table to choose from on this site, the WordPress Blocks table.

When I select that table, it shows me what my page will look like with that table included!

Envira Gallery
Envira Gallery allows you to create interesting galleries of images to embed in your pages.

There are several different layouts available that display with differing levels of success, but you’re welcome to try them!

To add the gallery to your page, add an Envira Gallery block, and choose the desired gallery from the dropdown.
