Please Welcome Kerri Hicks – Senior Web Developer & Accessibility Coordinator
Kerri Hicks has joined Web Services as the Senior Web Developer and Web Accessibility Coordinator. Kerri has been a web developer in higher education for twenty-five years, working at the University of Rhode Island and Brown University before coming to Providence College.
Kerri’s primary focus is on backend web development, paying special attention to ensuring that systems we use and create are accessible and usable for people of all abilities. In addition to programming, she enjoys working with APIs and data, and learning new ways to use data to tell stories.
Kerri studied English and computer science at Colby College, and has a master’s degree in Library and Information Studies from the University of Rhode Island. She is a life-long Rhode Islander who lives in North Kingstown with her husband. She loves to make all sorts of things, and has 60,002 pets — two African Grey parrots, and around 60,000 honeybees in her backyard beehives.
