October Survey Results Are In!

Thanks to everyone who completed the October Web Editor Survey! Your feedback keeps our tools sharp and our content cleaner. Based on your feedback, we’re making a change to the Featured Image Rollover block coming soon (don’t worry, you won’t have to change anything!), so we can’t thank you enough for your thoughtful engagement with this survey.
Key Usage Insights
In October we cast a spotlight on Accordion and Tabs.
Accordion: The Steady Favorite
Most of you rely on Accordions to make content-dense pages usable, scannable, and tidy.
Tabs: Curiosity Sneaks In
Many respondents hadn’t used Tabs before, but quite a few of you are now eager to try it. Tabs do look clean and organized; they can help your content to shine when each tab stands on its own.
A Couple of Anecdotes
- Joe M. (School of Nursing and Health Sciences) points out that the Accordion block is “excellent for a FAQ page,” and Rachel B. (Biology) added that Accordions are, “helpful for not overburdening a page with text all at once.”
- Sophie M. (Library Digital Projects & Metadata) appreciates the look and feel of our Tabs block, and is considering redesigning some content with Tabs to boost readability and navigation.
Next Up in November: Banner Image + Content Wrapper
The November Web Editor Survey opens November 17, when we’ll get cozy with the Banner Image and Content Wrapper blocks. Put your thinking cap on, and I hope you’ll be willing to tell us how you’re framing pages and structuring content with these blocks — or if you’re not!
Stickers!
Didn’t get a DubBot sticker yet? Request one when you fill out November’s survey — we still have a few left!
We’ve found a few of our friends around campus — if you’ve already deployed your sticker, we’d love to see it in action! Drop an email to Kerri Hicks (khicks3@providence.edu) with your glamor shots.
