Hard of Hearing Users

There are a view important actions you can take to best serve hard of hearing or D/deaf users.

  • Make sure no content is presented in entirely audio format.
  • All content should have a full text alternative – this means audio files must have complete transcripts, and video files must have accurate captions.
  • When gathering user information via forms, the telephone number should not be the only communication information you collect.
