September Survey Results Are In!
A massive thank you to the almost 20 web editors who took the time to fill out the September Web Editor Survey! Your feedback is so valuable in helping us to fine-tune the editing experience and identify where you need the most support.

We’ve compiled the results and wanted to share a few insights from your answers.
Key Usage Insights
This month, we focused on two specific, often underutilized blocks: the Picture Links block and the Featured Image Rollover block.
The single biggest takeaway? Curiosity is high!
Low Current Usage: For both blocks, the majority of respondents were in the “I haven’t used this, but maybe I will now!” category. This tells us that while the blocks may be known, they’re not yet integrated into regular workflows.
Rollover is the Favorite, By a Nose: We noticed a slight preference for the Featured Image Rollover block. Several of you noted that, while you haven’t implemented them yet, you see both blocks’ potential for adding a polished, modern flair to image-heavy or link-heavy pages, or as a way to break up a “wall of text” on a page with an attractive link or informational rollover.
Complexity Concerns: We heard comments about “worrying about making a mistake” when using the Picture Links block. This is clear feedback for us! We’re going to focus on improving the documentation within the block (right inside the editor), to help you tackle these features with confidence.
A Couple of Anecdotes
We really enjoyed reading your freeform responses. Here are what a couple of your web editor colleagues mentioned about how these tools are helping them make their content shine:
On the Picture Links Block: Mel initially thought the block looked intimidating, but once using it to replace a long list of static text links on a departmental resources page, it was “a surprisingly quick win for organizing and cleaning up the content. It instantly looks more professional and less cluttered!” We couldn’t have said it better.
On the Featured Image Rollover Block: Liz mentioned using the rollover effect on a faculty directory. “It adds a fun, interactive, and polished touch that makes the whole page feel much more current and less like a boring database. Instant professional upgrade!” We agree, Liz!
