Users on the Autism Spectrum

Like many of our other user groups, when we refer to users on the autism spectrum, we are referring to a wide variety of user experiences.

To account for users of all neurotypes, a few simple rules should be followed. 

• Write in plain English, in short digestible sections and sentences.
• Use simple and consistent layouts.
• Do not use garish or high contrast colors
• Take advantage of bulleted lists.
• Write clear link text
• Limit forms to as few fields as possible
