Users with Physical or Motor Disabilities
Many of the web features necessary support users with physical or motor disabilities are performed by Web Services on the technical side.
These include constantly evaluating and improving the keyboard navigability of the site, and providing large text and touch targets for those users who might use a touch screen.
There are some steps, however, that a content creator can take to make their web page more accessible for users with physical or motor issues.
- Provide lots of space between links, so that it isn’t difficult to select any particular one
- Limit the size of a page. Provide needed information quickly and in accessible, bite sized chunks
- When creating a form, only ask for the information that is absolutely required. Limit the amount of typing and scrolling that is required whenever possible.
